June 6, 1944........

The Invasion of Normandy and the beginning of the Liberation of Europe.

As a kid 45-50 years ago, I knew of a lot of men who had been a part of the Invasion and follow on battles across Europe.

Not to many of them left and getting fewer everyday I suppose.

Lots and lots of young men gave it up on those beaches that morning.
