MotoGP Weekend .......

In a word - Great!!

The folks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway really know how to organize an event. Granted, they've had 100 years to get it down right. They have everything figured out & a shitload of help. You can't go 10 feet w/o seeing someone in a yellow shirt. Got a question? Just ask. I really appreciated it when it came to parking. I got to park up on the main track between turns 1 and 2. That was kinda cool. They handed out kickstand pads to every rider, everyday so I ended up with 3 of them for souvenirs.
I'm gonna send one to Surly.

Unlike last year, I rode TheBigBluePlasticMotorcycle to the race.
It rained Friday, but unlike some other pussy racing sports, these guys run in the rain or shine. I did the big walk around Friday looking at all the vendors, manufacturers, bikes and Pit/Paddock/sales Girls -

The rainy practice was cool and these guys still rode fast. It amazes me how fast they can go in the rain.

Here's Valentino Rossi, current champion and one of the best racers ever getting after it in practice Friday-

He crashed out of the Race Sunday. Tough luck, but he wasn't the only one.

Saturday's weather was better and qualifying in all the classes was a blast to watch.

The 125 and 250 classes are as fun to watch as the Big Boys in the 800 class.

All 3 races Sunday were great. This is just a great event and if you live in the Midwest and like motorcycles, you should make a point to come watch this next year.

Here's a couple of random pics-
The parking area was full of cool shit. Like this one-

Shitload of Repsol Replicas

These are crazy looking and probably fun to ride.

Way cool Blown HD

Off to the Races .......
MotoGP here I come!
Weather looks good, no Hurricanes on the horizon like last year. I'll update when I can.

Stay safe.

I'll leave Jim Redman here to keep an eye on you miscreants.

MotoGP Starts Tomorrow ........

Three days of Motorcycle Goodness & I'm torqued up for it.
Bad news is Surly and his Wife are not going. We are not happy about this, but shit happens and I understand.

The local Yamaha Dealer sponsored a Stunt riding show yesterday afternoon by these guys -

These Dudes can ride. They make all that shit look easy as hell, too.
I'm sure a lot of time, money and Orthopedics went into getting so good.
They're gonna be up at the MotoGP in a Stunt Competition Friday or Saturday.

These are local guys from around here and I wish 'em well.
Good luck Boys!
My Daughter knows a couple of these guys and she called and asked if I was going to be at the stunt competition last night. Uuumm, probably.
Gotta check the schedule of events and see what all's going on.

There's a lot of things going on besides the racing and all. I love it.

Teddy, What Took You So Long ???????
40 years too late, Teddy goes to his just reward.

Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.

Now the Treasonous Bastard can go rot. Now that he's dead, I wonder if this aspect of his career will be covered?

Probably not anytime soon.

Items of Interest on a Monday .......

Here's a couple of things that you probably should see. Some new. Some not so new.

This video of a Town Hall meeting is good. There's been a lot of opinion about it in the last few days, so I'll spare you any extra. I just found it to exemplify the frustration that's out there. And the proper way to deal with shithead politicians.

You go, Marine. Semper Fi!

Speaking of Town Hall meetings - Here's an article and some commentary by, Mike Vanderboegh that you should read. Mike should be a daily read for you anyway and this is especially good.

Unrelated to Town Hall meetings, but from the, Dept. of Kinda Strange, comes this-
Fellow patrons had their cellphones temporarily confiscated to prevent pictures from being taken.

"MICHELLE Obama, like her husband, enjoys a good burger, but not as well done. The first lady brought daughters Malia and Sasha to former "Top Chef" contestant Spike Mendelsohn'sGood Stuff Eatery in DC for cheeseburgers, onion rings, fries, and milkshakes. "They got the burgers medium," says a spy. (President Obama was mildly ridiculed after ordering a burger medium-well in January.) "Three starving Secret Service guys were literally standing over the grill as Spike made the burgers, but didn't eat," our source adds. Fellow patrons had their cellphones temporarily confiscated to prevent pictures from being taken."

To which I'd have told them to "Go fuck yourself".
Yes, it would be a hassle to do that. But some things are just worth it.
A cellphone camera is not a security threat so I would not comply. I wouldn't be taking pictures of them without their (Meaning Mrs Obama) anyway. That's rude.

But I sure as hell wouldn't hand over a phone just to make them happy.

Add on - Here's a Guy that just impressed me a bunch. Go check this out. Congressman from Michigan.
Don't know anything more about him other than what is in this video. Seems like a guy worth paying attention to.

I'm sure there's some connection there between sex therapy and firearms.

Great Les Paul Video .....
You should watch this.

I saw this the other day at Roger's Place
I haven't seen a better tribute to the great Les Paul than this. Filmed around his 90th birthday, it's wonderfully done and really shows what an amazing guy he was.

He seemed to be a hell of a nice guy to boot.

I enjoyed this tremendously and instead of going to bed because I had to work in the morning, I stayed up way too late the other night to watch it all.

Les Paul was a damn genius besides being a fabulous guitarist.
Well worth it. I know you'll enjoy it.

Here's Something Cool You Can Buy Me.....

1970 Factory 750 Honda Racer.

I'd show you a picture but I can't seem to get any to display here. Ebay must not want me to help them sell this thing.

Only takes $10,000 to get into the bidding! YerUnk would appreciate this for his birthday.

Item 2 for you is a nice article from Motorcycle Classics Magazine on Mike Hailwood's 1978 IOM TT winning Ducati Written by the Guy who owned it and ran the team.

Very interesting article and there are a couple of other links that you may wish to check out if you're a fan of this stuff.

The Indianapolis MotoGP is coming right up and YerUnk is excited about going to that again this year.

The weather has to be better than last years Hurricane that blew through and screwed things up royally.
I'm gonna ride the BigBluePlasticMotorcycle unless the forecast calls for another Hurricane.

Even with the crappy weather last year it was an incredible event & I'm getting torqued about it.
If you can go you really ought to.

Maybe Rossi will win again this year.

He's the best rider out there and one of the best ever.

I gotta admit I was pulling for Nicki Hayden last year, but Rossi is something special and watching him stalk Hayden and bide his time during that race was incredible.
He really is, "The Doctor".

The Canner Has Been Busy.....
Today.

Jelly, Salsa and the first of the beans. There's more beans in the canner now. And a shitload more waiting to be put into jars.

I should go rob a bank. I think my fingerprints have been worn off from prepping beans.

I was surprised how many it takes to make one 6 quart batch in the canner.
We've just gotten started on the beans. There's a wheel barrow load of Tomatoes out in the garage yet that haven't been gotten to yet also.

And the Garden is full yet.

That's the kind of problems to have. Too much food to process.

The weather today was brutal. High 80's low 90's and 100% humidity. I didn't get a damn thing done outside.
Don't even feel guilty about it. I just fold up in no time when it gets like this.

The Queen and I are heading up North tomorrow evening for a quick overnighter to see the Niece make her big debut in a stage show.

Friends will be watching the Command and Control Bunker and taking care of the critters.

I wish they knew how to run the Canner. It's not like there isn't things to be done.

It's all good & It'll wait for a day.

Got Garden ??????

Got up early this morning and went out to pick Beans and Tomatoes.

As you can see, I got a few.

You can guess what, QueenBuffness & I are gonna be doing today.

I still need to get out and start digging Potatoes.

Thank goodness we don't have to process them too.

No. I have no idea why that camera dated that picture 2006. Weird.

Monday Night Link Dump .....
Here's a few things I saw today that may interest y'all.

First we have a topic near and dear to my heart. Meet the man who has exposed the great climate change con trick

If you've been around here at all, you already know how I feel about Al Gore and the huge con game that is Global Warming. Historians are gonna have a field day with this shit. Good read.

Next we have The Official Playbook to be used by the Commie Leftist Bastards in organizing against those of us who don't want to see, "Dear Leaders" health care takeover pushed through.
Enlightening in how they portray those who would have impure thoughts about this. Nasty little Cockroaches.

Someone did the math on just how bad it would be like if George Romero is right.
Mathematics of a Zombie Attack.
Not good, BTW.
Please make those shots count, Kids.

Gerald Celente says The “Second American Revolution” Has Begun... .

It's hard to argue with Mr Celente. He's been right about......Well, most everything. So this is pretty disturbing.
If you haven't thought about this kind of thing, maybe you ought to start. Start by deciding just which side you're gonna be on.

Hey, if that ain't enough try this from, Roger at Curmudgeonly and Skeptical.
This is a Long Video. Like an hour and a half. I stayed up way to late last night and watched it after I got home from work.
I seriously advise you watch this. Great History that explains a lot of whats going on now.

No really. You should watch this.

I realize that's a lot of info there, but you should find a way to check all of this out. Multiple topics, but it all is important to things going on around you.
There is so much being pushed on us in the last few months that it's hard to keep track.
That's not a coincidence. The overwhelming pace is all part of the plan to keep you from focusing on any one of these things.
Get focused and get knowledgeable. Then you can rattle the chain of your elected officials and hopefully derail some of this Bullshit.

Extra Added Bonus Info-
If that's not enough and you want to get a real education from someone who knows about all this, check out former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov.

These videos are all from the early '80's, but you can get a hell of an education here. I'd start with the 9 part interview videos. Fascinating stuff.

Ok. That's it for now.

Gratuitous Picture for a Monday Night-

Go ahead and do it.
You'd have aborted them had you known better.
Nice Surprise .....

I received an email last week from Susan C. informing me that my little blog had made the Top 100 Motorcycle Blog’s

Number 14 to be exact.

Must have been That Krazy Clue Kung Fu that did it. Remember -"Accept no Substitutes!"

I'd probably argue that I don't write enough about bikes anymore to really be included in a list like that, but hey, I'll take it.

Either way, it's a good list of places to go read about motorcycle stuff.

Gratuitous Picture for a Monday Morning-
I'll bet getting plates for that was fun.

Always welcome.

Quick Read For Ya .....

I wish I'd written this. It's much more effective being written by a woman though.

The World Is Full of Bitches

This woman has her rant on and tosses a high hard one at the men who deserve a fastball in the head.

Gotta run. The ER is calling and there are sure to be Zombies to deal with.

I love my spellcheck. Heart was in the right place.

Just Another Example to Add to the, "Why I Hate the Media" Files .......

Four armed scumbags enter business and demand money. One Scumbag pistol whips an employee.

Elderly business Owner shoots all four of these little cockroaches, killing 2.

So does MSNBC hail him for protecting and possibly saving the lives of his employees?
Oh, Fuck No. Here's their headline -
Elderly vigilante ‘didn’t want to shoot’ robbers

The article isn't so badly written as the headline, but damn it, I'd like to kick the guy who wrote the headline in the nutsack.

Busy in the Kitchen .....
The Queen and I have been busy this week canning. The Tomatoes continue to pour in.

She made Pear Jam today. First time and it's right tasty.

Picked the first Beans this afternoon.

I'm sure this is gonna be the first of many.

There's a ton of them out there.

These are bush beans here.

I picked some Kentucky Wonder Pole Beans and took them over to the neighbor kids. Along with some Taters, Maters and a few Onions.

I started pulling the straw off the Tater beds today. Got 2 of 3 done and there are a bunch of Taters to dig.

I made a storage place out in the barn for them last week out of concrete block, some scrap materials and Styrofoam insulation board I had stashed. Hopefully it'll keep them cool and stored nicely. As long as the Global Warming we've had doesn't continue and we get a prolonged sub-zero freeze it should work out well.

We'll see.

I tossed the drive belt off the mower the other day. That pissed me off as it's a 3 handed job to get it back on. I called one of the boys I work with and he made a 20 mile trip over just to help me. Took all of about 3 minutes to fix with his help.

True Friends are good to have and I'm damn lucky.

A round of applause for, The Kid!

Thanks, K. Couldn't have done it without ya.

Health Care Debate in a Song.......

I'm sure the artist who created this, "Fishy" song is en route to the reeducation camp by now.

Maybe not. But this encapsulates a lot of what people are thinking.

Listen to this and tell me what you think.

You can report me to the authorities for "Spreading Disinformation" about, Dear Leaders Health BS, Here

I'm sure I'm already on the list though.

The State Department? It's BOSS!!!!!!
As in "Body Orifice Security Scanners"

"The U.S. State Department plans to give a dozen "Body Orifice Security Scanners," also known as B.O.S.S. chairs, to the Government of El Salvador to X-ray inspect its prisoners for weapons and other metal objects hidden in their anal or vaginal cavities."

OK. I can see how this kind of technology can be useful for prisons.

But don't these people have editors ??

Come On Baby Light My Fire ......

According to This Guy it's a bad idea to get drunk, drop your pants and wag your junk at Greek Women.

"The British man, who police have also not yet identified, allegedly took off his pants there and waved his genitals at a number of girls. He is then said to have "forcefully fondled" the Greek woman and asked her to hold his genitals."

Bad move, Skippy.

"Guys, I Hit a Coyote" ........
No shit.

190 mph run in with a Coyote?

One hell of a hood ornament.

Eat your heart out, Mack Truck.

That's the Hood Ornament from a Mack Truck.
Pretty cool.

Here's the Brad Coleman Ornament
(Graphic. If you believe Disney movies are real, don't click)

Sorta Arnold Schwarzenegger movie like.

Actually, the guy was darn lucky he didn't get hurt bad.

The Coyote? Not so lucky.

Gratuitous Picture for a Monday Evening-
Speaking of Arnold.

Also - (Check out the videos in the comments section at the link site for some Racecars vs Mother Natures kids videos.)
Air Conditioning is a Lovely Thing ........

Most of the time I could get by without it. But on days like today? Real glad to have it.

The majority of my life I've lived without it and gotten along pretty well. Days like today make you appreciate it when you need it.

It's alternating between heavy thunderstorms and 90+ and Sunny out there today. Add to that the canning has begun and we've got hot water boiling to add to the 90% humidity already. Probably 100% now as it's really thunder storming out there now.
AC sure helps.

Hard for me to imagine what it must have been like in the old days.

Even a Summer Kitchen would only be good for keeping the extra heat out of the house. Sure as heck wouldn't be comfortable for working in.

The Queen put up a bunch of Tomatoes this morning and we're working on Corn now. She bought a shitload of corn from a friend the other day. So that, and all the tomatoes that are coming on now are gonna continue to make me thankful for that AC in the weeks ahead.

Some of her handiwork from this morning -

Tomato Sauce. We're getting 1/2-1 bushel a day on the paste tomatoes now.

The HoopHouse tomatoes? Not so good.

My learning experiment with the HoopHouse so far tells me I need a partial redesign and that I should move them out and not leave them in there all season.

There's a major pest problem, both bug and infection type going on that's kicking ass on the tomatoes in there. Not getting too many.

Bummer. More ventilation and move 'em out next year.

Lesson learned.

Gratuitous Picture for a Monday Afternoon-

It's Monday Morning ......
After a decent weekend in the ER. Not to many Zombies this weekend & that's always a pleasant thing.

You're gonna have a few everyday because ....... Well, there's just a friggen bazillion of them. Fact of like and all that.

The shit these people do would be kinda funny if they weren't so damn annoying.

But I did get to see a miracle Saturday night and that's always good.
One of our New Regular Zombies - As opposed to the, Well known, long time Zombies - crawled in with his usual complaint of back pain and a pretty original story of why he's out of the
Percocet prescription he got 6 days ago.

No. Not, "The Dog ate it." But pretty close. This Dude couldn't even walk back to the ER and needed a wheelchair when he first got there.

But, Damn Skippy if he didn't jump his ass right up and Stomp out in a rapid and timely fashion when the Doc told him he wasn't getting a script for any, "To Go" drugs.

It was a miracle. Like Darth Vader said, "Your hate will make you stronger."
Seems like there must be some truth to that. At least in this case.

I've seen this same shit played out hundreds of times over the years, but it never fails to inspire me. The good news is that he'll probably go bother some other ER for a month or 2 before he hits us up again.

They ALWAYS come back. No matter what they tell ya or how angry they are on leaving. That drive for Narcs brings 'em back eventually. It's just to expensive
to support a Big Narcotics Jones at street prices.

So they eventually come back and act like they've never seen us before in their life.
And the Circus starts up again.

Gratuitous Picture for a Monday Morning-
I'll be there for 'em with my new favorite shirt on when they come back.

Most Folks Would Never Believe This Would Be Possible .....

Not EMS or ER Workers.

Inmate found with pistol in his Fat Folds
This fat ass had been searched 5 times before he informed the Jailer of it while in the shower.

You wouldn't believe all of the goofy shit that I've seen stashed (Read Lost) in fat folds over the years.
Sandwiches, Cans of Snuff, Lighters, Pencils, Pens, Money (Both Bills and Change), Pocket Knives, Nail Clippers & Lots of Food and Cockroaches.

So I don't find it hard that he was hiding a 9mm and a magazine for it in one of his, Fat Cabinets.

Or as Say Uncle put it "Concealed Carry".

On the 2008 Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act ......

Tam has this to say:

"Keep your slimy, regulation-encrusted hands off my childhood, you bastards. I'm not kidding."

This thing is an Abortion. Here's what Michael Barone has to say about it.

My Congressman was one of the sponsors so you can imagine what kind of response I got when I contacted his office.

"I'm sorry, but you're an asshole and we WILL protect the children from eating their motorcycles!"

Ok. Maybe not those exact words, but that's what they meant.

Damn, these people just can't stop themselves. They have to control EVERYTHING.

Rope. Tree. Politician.
Some assembly required.

A Couple of Good Reads .......
Something to read for ya'll.

First, Doctor Zero at Hotair puts one into the cheap seats while explaining Who We Are to those who are confused about what's really happening out there lately.

Lots of folks are beginning to wake up to the theft of our Republic and they are angry.

BTW, Think about that and plan accordingly.

Next, we have, MIke at Cold Fury responding to the pants shitting hysteria around the poster.

Shit, you should know which poster I'm talking about.
This One-

It's amazing how much gnashing of teeth has erupted from this thing. Mike pretty well covers it in his response to some bed wetter in the Washington Post.

I forgot just how good, Mike was at gutting fish like that. I'll have to put him back on the daily read list.

My bad.

Gratuitous Variant on a Thursday Night-

Like I said. You really should be thinking about just what is going on.
As always, click to enlarge pictures.
Fishy? Ya Think????

You Gotta wonder just what they plan on doing with the "Snitch Data" acquired by this.

Enemies List, anyone?
From the official Whitehouse Website-via Redstate:

"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

I find it Fishy that the Whitehouse feels it's ok for them to ask us to snitch on our fellow citizens.
They should have just wrote this-
"Please help us create a database of dissident malcontents so we can deal effectively with them as needed in the future."

You know they are "Making a list and checking it twice." Right?

Byron York talks about this today. He includes some of a letter sent by, Senator John Cornyn of Texas that addresses my concerns about the use of the data collected in this fishing expedition -

In a letter to Obama Tuesday, Republican Sen. John Cornyn wrote that, given Phillips' request, "it is inevitable that the names, email address, IP addresses, and private speech of U.S. citizens will be reported to the White House." Cornyn warned the president that "these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection program."

"I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward emails critical of his policies to the White House," Cornyn continued. "I urge you to cease this program immediately."

The Morons at Ace of Spades are all over this with some posters to help guide the citizens in this Whitehouse database collection.

There's more. Check 'em out.
Pretty funny stuff.

Speaking of Funny Posters. Howzabout the new 2009 Conference Poster from NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) -

Have You Heard About CIFTA????
If you haven't yet, you should.

Dave Kopel has a very good article here about this Treaty and just what it means for any American who owns firearms.

I'm not gonna go through any of the details here. It's a fairly short read and he says everything you need to know.

I will say that there could potentially be a whole bunch of us who become, instant criminals if this is ratified.

I've contacted my Senators about this Treaty and gotten a better response from Evan Bayh(Democrat) than from Dick Lugar(RINO-ScumBag). Bayh has no official position that I know of. Lugar is fully in favor of this Treaty.

There's a regular laundry list of things that you should be contacting your representatives (I use that term loosely) about these days. Just make a list and call.

Email isn't as effective as a call or a written letter, but I guess it's better than nothing if that's all you can do.
There's so many issues going on so fast lately that it's hard to keep up.
I suspect that's not a coincidence either. Rapid fire pressing issues keeps us off balance and tends to overwhelm and demoralize folks.

Yeah, I think that's all part of the plan. Call me a cynic if you like, but it's not like it hasn't been successful so far.

So. Go read the article. Make a list of issues and get on the phone.

Cash for Clunkers????
I have been amazed at how this program ate a Billion Dollars in such a short time and doubly amazed at how it took all of 1 day for congress to vote 2 more Billion of my Kids, yet to be earned money into the program. Amazing how those bastards can spend money that doesn't belong to them.

Velociman has a very succinct post on this that is Waaaaaay better than anything I could ever come up with.

Go read it now. Until today, I wasn't aware that they are destroying all of the "Clunkers" that get traded in.

It's probably a good thing that, Darth Vader wasn't telling the truth about, "Your hate will make you stronger."

Go read the link and watch the video while you're there.

Gratuitous Picture for a Monday Night-
Seems to be a lot of this going on in Washington.

Krazy Glue Update .....

That friggin' tire is still holding air pressure.
Unbelievable.

I've been walking around all day muttering - "Accept No Substitutes!"
The Wife thinks I should send the company a testimonial. I told her to send them a link to the story and if they want to use it as is, they can have at it.

I want to get the damn bike back to being road worthy and figure that the sidewall can't be safe, even if there is plenty of tread left on it.

Shit. I know I'm gonna have to spring for a new tire, too. I was planning on replacing the rear pretty soon, but had figured the front would be good for 4-5 thousand miles. Oh well. Gotta do what you gotta do.
Safety first.

That Krazy Glue post got a link from Doug Ross at Director Blue today.

That's the second time I've gotten a link from them. That's nice and my sincere thanks to them for it. Even if I'm not a link whore. If I were, I'd have hung myself long ago. I'm so glad I don't take myself seriously anymore.

My question is - How in the hell did they find this place to begin with?

With all of the millions of blogs out there .... Who would'a guessed?

Makes ya wonder. Considering all of the talent that's out there.

"Of all the Gin Joints, in all the towns, in all the world. She walks into mine."

OK. Maybe that's kind of a stretch. But you get the idea.

But hey. How can you not love, Bogart?

I never did get the reference to "Bogarting a joint", either. Must have been from a movie I missed or can't remember because of the joints.

I never would have smoked all that shit as kid if someone had told me how bad it was for your memory.

You think maybe they did and I just forgot?
