Poultry and Kids..........

Just had to do it-

Rainy and nasty here this morning. Still pretty warm though and that's a plus for this time of year.
The weather was so nice yesterday I was really tempted to take, TheBigBluePlasticMotorcycle out for a ride but my better judgment decided against it.
Probably should have. It's unlikely that we're gonna see anymore 65 degree days till Spring. Oh well.

Now Here's Something I may Just Invest in.......

Every year we can a lot of what comes out of the garden and go through a lot of canning jar lids doing it. This is a product that just makes a lot of sense.

Reusable Canning Jar Lids
Yeah, they are a bit pricey, but they would probably pay for themselves in short order.

I first heard mention of these in a Jackie Clay article early this year and sort of forgot about them, till I stumbled across this excellent Road Test of them at Rural Revolution from July of this year.
Hey, there's even pictures!
Seriously though, this seems like something you may want to look into if you do a lot of canning.

I'd like to buy several dozen to test drive and see for myself but the author at Rural Revolution seems like see has her ducks in a row and probably has more experience than we do so I'll probably order some when I get $$$$ I don't need to spend on something else.

Till then, these will go on the ever growing list of, "Stuff it would make sense to buy when we get the money."

Yes, I really do have a list that is titled exactly that.

Cool Train Video.................
Saw this at Theo Spark

This kind of stuff geeks me out. I don't know squat about this particular train or even when this was filmed, but I do love trains and I guess that's good enough.

Here's a couple of more interesting links from Theo -

The IPCC mask slips

"First, the admission that the mission isn’t climate, but global wealth redistribution (emphasis mine):

First of all, developed countries have basically expropriated the atmosphere of the world community. But one must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy. Obviously, the owners of coal and oil will not be enthusiastic about this. One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole."

Suck it, Al Gore.

Monday Morning and All is Well............
It's OK here anyway.

There's been a dramatic improvement in how my surgically repaired foot is doing over the last few days. Really surprising and I'm grateful for it.
I'm going back to work at the end of the week and that will jump start the economic situation here back on track. Still gonna be on crutches for another 2 weeks but the Boss says I can run the Triage desk at least. I've been hobbling around using just one crutch some and as long as I don't over do it and put too much weight on that foot for too long a time there's been no problem.

This has really helped with the - "Coffee Cup" problem. Carrying a cup of coffee is just about impossible when you're using crutches and that has been one of my biggest complaints.

So I'm pretty encouraged this morning as I can really see things getting back to normal soon.

So let's have some upbeat pop music from a band that did pop music as well as anybody. The Hollies-

Alright then. That seems like a good way to start the day!

Does It Really Matter???????????
Apparently not-

Manassas was a great band and really, what can ya say about, Stephen Stills? Great Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, not necessarily in that order either. You pick.

Here's Stills singing another of my favorites. The video is perfect for this song.

The temperature is currently 35 degrees. Big drop in the last 24 hours and I'm just hanging out by the Woodstove with the dogs today.
All the waterers for the Chickens and Ducks were frozen up solid this morning and that means we'll be carrying water out to them twice a day for the next 4 months or so.

I guess we're supposed to go spend all of our money on shit no one needs today. Or at least that's how it seems.
Not happening here. Can't imagine even leaving the house today and merging with the Zombie hordes out there.

Like most things, I'm ass backwards on topics like this. The wife and I have been going through the house over the last few days looking at crap to get rid of. I damn sure don't need any more shit I don't use around here.

When did the whole, "Black Friday" thing get so big anyway?
Not that I pay attention to crap like this, but I don't remember when this becoming a big deal. Maybe its always been like this & I just missed it.

I understand that kind of, Black Friday.

YerUnk Wishes a Happy Thanksgiving..............

To All 'a Y'all!
Give thanks for all the good things we have today and pray for a future we can be thankful for.

I already mentioned a few of the things I'm thankful for a couple days ago. Lord knows there's plenty more than that too.

Being off work for the last 5 weeks has put a serious dent in the income and cash flow around here. But having a well stocked up Pantry has helped a bunch. Not having to spend a ton on groceries has been a blessing since the income has been cut in half.
Having again seen the benefit of being prepped for such an occasion, I would encourage all of ya, if you don't already, to start working on building up that pantry.

Maybe make it your, New Years Resolution or something.

You may be wondering just how to go about doing that and I'll refer you to Jackie Clay who's the expert on this sort of thing. Go read that article linked there and look around the Backwoods Home Website - especially the archives. There's a ton of good info, on a multitude of subjects there.

I want y'all to think about this, OK? Food prices have been rising fast and I don't see where that's gonna get any better anytime soon.
I had to put gasoline in the little blue truck the other day. First time in almost 2 months and got one hell of a shock. Gas cost .50 cents a gallon more than when I last filled up. I don't expect that to change to much to the better either and that's another good reason to build up that pantry if you're spending significantly more for energy/fuel that leaves less for food.

Unlike the Government, we just can't print money and spend what we don't have every month. And, even if I wanted to, I don't personally know any Chinese Bankers that want to loan me, basic budget money every month.

I woke up with this topic eating on my brain this morning. That doesn't normally happen so I figured I better go ahead and share it with ya.

If you have questions on this topic feel free to ask in the comments or via email (bsa71lightning-at-hotmail.com) & I'll be glad to help.

OK. Now that I got that out of the way.................

It is Thanksgiving and that means, Alice's Restaurant!

Yeah, it's a tradition here.

All the kids will be here this afternoon for dinner and we will listen to Arlo singing. Like every Thanksgiving. I'm thankful I have a great family that want to come hang out with, The Old Man.

Here's something cool. Or warm. Whatever.
It was spitting snow yesterday morning & It's currently 55 degrees outside.

The furnace has not run for well over 24 hours and I last loaded the woodstove around midnight last night.
Check this out-

That's incredible. I should'a figured out a way to get a woodstove a long time ago.
It's been quite a few years since we had a good stove & I forgot how nice it is.

If I had better insulation in the attic it would be even better. It's pretty lame up there and could use some more.

Just one more thing to add to the, "Shit I need to do when I get the money" List.

It's all good.
Like my friend, Jerry says - "Life is good. All ya got to do is live it."
Can't argue with that theory.

Again, I hope y'all have a nice day today.

Who Needs Laws???????????

When we can regulate the Hell out of ya.

Hinkle: Homeowners Now Must Pay EPA's Hidden Tax

"In April, the EPA issued its edicts governing home renovation, repair, and painting (RRP). If reasonable regulations are a children's sandbox, the EPA's rules are the Gobi Desert.

First, companies that do home renovation and repairs have to receive EPA certification, and use certified renovators "trained by EPA-approved training providers" if they're working on any space larger than 6 square feet. So if you're getting more than one window replaced, the guy has to be EPA-certified. An eight-hour course costs $200 to $300, not counting the time and income lost. If he works without the government permission slip, he could face fines of $32,500 per violation, plus possible jail time."

OK, that shit is just depressing. We are gonna need a shitload of rope to correct this sort of thing.

Here's a Couple of Things to Think About..............
Over the next few days.

Nothing to be Thankful for either.
Two short articles that you should read regarding the ongoing TSA screening procedures.

Read this first- “Gate Rape” of America
The media seems to be stuck on reporting the more salacious aspect of TSA agents having a collective case of the “touchy-feelies” while the underlying motives of our government are barely addressed. Yet that’s exactly where we need to be looking. We need to identify and understand what is taking place behind the snappy sound bites and outrageous video snippets. We also need to understand why these things are happening so we will not be surprised at what is likely to happen next......"

Then read this update from the same author which highlights the TSA and DHS response to those of us who dislike and protest the new, Enhanced Pat Downs.

DHS & TSA: making a list, checking it twice
This document officially addresses those who are opposed to, or engaged in the disruption of the implementation of the enhanced airport screening procedures as “domestic extremists.”

This isn't Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie territory here.

Read, Think and figure out just where you stand.
You may as well do that now because you're gonna have to eventually.

It's Not Thanksgiving Yet...............

But I gotta tell ya, I am so thankful for the Woodstove we installed. This thing is incredible and is saving me a ton of money already.
I'm not the only one who likes it.

Hopefully, I have enough wood stocked up to make it through this Winter. That's something I've been worrying about since Summer. Since we only have 5 acres here and a limited amount of trees, I've been looking for a place to cut wood and haven't had much luck yet.

That may have changed today.

I drove myself into town today for the 1st time in a month (another thing to be thankful for) to do some errands and see my Boss. On the way home I stopped by to see a fella I know who cuts firewood and sells it. Figured I'd check on the price if it comes to me having to buy some. Long story short, I proposed that maybe I work with him on a percentage basis. Win/win for both of us.

He seemed to like that idea and it looks like after I get back into being able to do that kind of work that I'm gonna be the junior partner.
I'm pretty stoked on this one. He's a damn nice guy and someone I can trust.

There ya go. Something else to be thankful for!

Pretty good day, all in all.

North Korea Fires On Island in South, 2 Dead

"SEOUL, South Korea -- North Korea bombarded a South Korean island near their disputed western border Tuesday, setting buildings ablaze and killing at least two marines and injuring 16 others after warning the South to halt military drills in the area, South Korean officials said.

South Korean president says South will unleash 'enormous retaliation' should North Korea attack again.

South Korea said it returned fire and scrambled fighter jets in response, and said the "inhumane" attack on civilian areas violated the 1953 armistice halting the Korean War. The two sides technically remain at war because a peace treaty was never negotiated."

This is just NOT what anyone needs right now. Or anytime for that matter.

Saw the Surgeon Today...........
For a follow up.
It's been 1 month exactly since surgery.

He's happy with the way everything is coming along and says I can start putting a little weight on that foot. That's the good news.

Bad news is he wants me to continue with the crutches with only partial, as in "Very limited", weight bearing for another 3 weeks.

Well, it's a step in the right direction, but damn. I'm losing 1/2 my paycheck every week and 3 more weeks of that is gonna hurt. Bad.

Oh well. Nothing I can do about it.
The last thing I need is to do something stupid and screw things up now and go back to square 1.

Peanuts From the Garden.......

I put in a small patch of peanuts this year. Being hobbled up from the recent surgery, I didn't get them pulled when I should have.
The oldest son, TherapyBoy came by last week and pulled them for me & we hung the vines over the fence to dry everything out for a few days.

Problem is, it's been rainy almost nonstop since. Not good on the crop as a bunch of them got moldy.

Bummer for me, but that's the way it goes when you're unable to get around. I got out there today and threw everything into the back of the little blue truck and brought them up to the garage where I could work on them.

Got all the good ones sorted out and spread them on a couple of gunny sacks to dry inside the garage for now. At least their out of the rain. I'm thinking that I'll just bag them in the gunny sacks and hang the sacks somewhere close (but not TOO close) to the woodstove for a few days. Give the bags a shake now and then to mix 'em up some and see how it goes.

Kinda disappointed on the yield, but it was a crappy growing season and I really should have planted them somewhere else with more sun. So it's partly my fault.

It's been a few years since I've grown any peanuts and I forgot that they are a very attractive plant & easy to grow - If you put them in the right place. Don't know what I was thinking.
You may think about growing some in your garden. The 1st time I grew them I just bought some raw peanuts at the store and planted those.

Give it a try if you like peanuts. Roasting them is easy, but I have yet to try making "Salted in the Shell" nuts like you buy at the store. The wife tells me she found a recipe for that online and I may try some.
I'll let ya know how it goes.

Nothing else going on around here. Go see the Surgeon tomorrow for a check up and see if I can get off these damn crutches soon. That's about it.

File This Under "Things That Go, BOOM"!!!!!!

Western Rile Shooters brought this fascinating article to my attention today.

Inside the Apocalyptic Soviet Doomsday Machine

"Yarynich is talking about Russia's doomsday machine. That's right, an actual doomsday device—a real, functioning version of the ultimate weapon, always presumed to exist only as a fantasy of apocalypse-obsessed science fiction writers and paranoid über-hawks. The thing that historian Lewis Mumford called "the central symbol of this scientifically organized nightmare of mass extermination." Turns out Yarynich, a 30-year veteran of the Soviet Strategic Rocket Forces and Soviet General Staff, helped build one."

I do not remember ever hearing about this system before. This is an extremely interesting article and I think y'all would like it.
Yeah, this kinda stuff geeks me out.

Government Moves on Food Supply

"Amazing, they refuse to seal the border between Mex/US but they're REALLY concerned with Joe Schmoe growing veggies on HIS property and saving seeds for next year's planting. Oh, and Dumbass Dingell proposed HR 2749, which gives the Feds the power to prohibit the movement of any and all foods into or out of a given area (Section 133b). All for the "global" market (wink-wink). Isn't Dingell a member of the Progressive Caucus?"

Senate Bill 510............

I thought this abortion of a bill had been shelved. Green Mountains Homesteading brings it to my attention that I was wrong about this.

And like every other government solution, S 510 creates more problems than it solves. It also steals one more piece of freedom from us in the process while increasing government control in another area of our lives.

Michael Geer has a concise article at The American Thinker -

First Health Care, Next the Food Supply

"Under the rubric of safety, this Senate proposes a bill that establishes such new and sweeping powers over how you and I produce and consume foodstuffs that even the Pew Charitable Trusts are calling S510 a clear and present danger. ..."

Go on over to Green Mountains Homesteading and read this post too.
There's plenty of links for more info and Toaster, the host over there, has got about everything you need to know on this.

Thanks Toaster!
I called my Senators again today, but I'm not real sure it's gonna matter. The staffers didn't seem anymore interested in hearing my concern than they did last year.

"McALESTER - Members of a Kansas church that protests at military funerals may have found themselves in the wrong town Saturday."

"Shortly after finishing their protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey of McAlester, a half-dozen protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to their minivan, only to discover that its front and rear passenger-side tires had been slashed.

To make matters worse, as their minivan slowly hobbled away on two flat tires, with a McAlester police car following behind, the protesters were unable to find anyone in town who would repair their vehicle, according to police........"

Let's hear it for the Okies. Doesn't sound like the police were worried about catching the perps either so a big, Thumbs Up to them also.

It still amazes me that none of these assholes has been sent to meet their Maker yet. It'll happen eventually. And please don't bother me with the 1st amendment arguments today.

Be Careful What You Ask For Ted....................

Nasty little Dingleberry, Ted Rall Has a new book out.

Verum Serum has the skinny on it along with a bonus video interview with Dylan Ratigan at MSMBC.

Here's just a bit from Ted's book, "The Anti-American Manifesto"-

"A war is coming. At stake: our lives, the planet, freedom, living. The government, the corporations, and the extreme right are prepared to coalesce into an Axis of Evil. Are you going to fight back? Will you do whatever it takes, including taking up arms?…

The millions of partisans who follow Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and right-wing televangelists happen to be the best-armed people around, and they despise just about everyone who doesn’t think and pray like them. They will see collapse as affirmation of their beliefs that secular liberalism is destructive. They will also see it as an opportunity to create a new, ordered world atop the ashes. They will act to stop teenage sluts from getting abortions, teach niggers a lesson, and slaughter those spics, dots, and everyone else who doesn’t fit into their vision of what and who is right…"

You should click on that link above and read the whole article. You really need to watch the video too.

My question is...................
Why is it that assholes like, Dylan Ratigan continue to call the Tea Party and anyone on the right, "Domestic Terrorists", but give Ted a platform like this? And basically agree with him on violence being an acceptable option when it comes from lefty's.

Here's another Ted quote from the same book. (different link)-

We are here because the U.S. is going to end soon. There's going to be an intense, violent, probably haphazard struggle for control. It's going to come down to us versus them. The question is: What are you going to do about it?

Us: Hard-working, underpaid, put upon, thoughtful, freedom-loving, disenfranchised, ordinary people

Them: Reactionary, stupid, overpaid, greedy, shortsighted, exploitative, power-mad, abusive politicians and corporate executives

I don't even know what to say about shit like this anymore.

Well, shit. Since we're here already, may as well continue into the swamp......

The Last Gasp of Aging White Power: But Time Is Not on Your Side -- Tim Wise

"For all y’all rich folks, enjoy that champagne, or whatever fancy ass Scotch you drink.

And for y’all a bit lower on the economic scale, enjoy your Pabst Blue Ribbon, or whatever shitty ass beer you favor.
Whatever the case, and whatever your economic station, know this…
You need to drink up.
And quickly.
And heavily.
Because your time is limited.
Real damned limited....................."

"I know, you think you’ve taken “your country back” with this election — and of course you have always thought it was yours for the taking, cuz that’s what we white folks are bred to believe, that it’s ours, and how dare anyone else say otherwise — but you are wrong.
You have won a small battle in a larger war the meaning of which you do not remotely understand.
‘Cuz there is nothing even slightly original about you.
There have always been those who wanted to take the country back.
There were those who, in past years, wanted to take the country back to a time of enslavement and indentured servitude.
But they lost.
There were those who wanted to take us back to a time when children could be made to work in mines and factories, when workers had no legal rights to speak of, when the skies in every major city were heavy with industrial soot that would gather on sidewalks and windowsills like volcanic ash.
But they lost. "

There's more to it, but I already read this a day or 2 ago and can't take it twice.

But YOU should read it once. These folks are finally dropping the masks and showing just what they think of us and you need to read what these schlubs really think.

All this talk of compromise and working together is just so much Horseshit. There ain't gonna be any compromise with these squeakholes.

Unless you consider submission a form of compromise.

I'm Seeing More and More of This.........

Sort of thing.

You may remember I posted something From This Guy a while back.

Don't know what it's about, but it makes ya wonder. This sorta crap just doesn't get put out in the media unless there's a reason.

Prepping the battlespace perhaps?

Beats me, but it's interesting to watch.
Might be nothing at all..............
I think I'll just sit back and see if anything develops from this.

Gratuitous Picture for a Monday Night-

Good News............

Saw the Surgeon today & He was very pleased with the way things are healing up.

Wants me to stay on the crutches for 2 more weeks. That's longer than he originally told me, but he made that prognostication before surgery so I'll cut him some slack.

He gave me a bit of detail on the nuts & bolts part of the surgery today and it was a lot more involved than what he had originally thought. Seems there was a shit ton more in there than he thought. Frankly, the idea of putting weight on that foot right now scares me anyway. It's been feeling pretty darn good for the last 4-5 days, but weight on it? No way.

They pulled all the sutures out and steri-stripped the snot out of it as it still had a couple of spots that aren't completely closed.
But it looks good, yes?

The really good news is I can start cleaning that stinky bastard and soak it starting this Friday. Damn, I am looking forward to that!

All in all...............A good report.

Gratuitous Picture for a Monday Evening-

Off to See the Wizard............

Off to see the Surgeon anyway. See what he says and get a check up on how things are going.
I can tell that things are healing up well and there's really not much pain anymore. That's a big plus let me tell ya.

I'll be on crutches for another week or two but hey, could be worse.

All things considered, everything is going in the right direction on the post surgery front.
And for that I am grateful.

More later.

Live from Indiana..............

It's Saturday Afternoon!!!!!!
A beautiful Autumn day here today. I'm still stuck on crutches so I can't do much yet, but a beautiful day nonetheless.

If you've been around here at all, you're probably aware that I'm not a follower of, Al Gore and HIS whole Global Warming BS. I've never said the climate isn't changing or can't change. The fact that we've had glaciers move across my yard a time or 2 over the years makes me believe that things change.

I just ain't buying his Horseshit & never have.
Over at Big Government there's an article (and movie trailer) about this subject that I think you should go check out. The author, Bjorn Lomborg says this -

"For nearly two decades now, people have been arguing about climate change and getting nowhere. Right-wingers argue that global warming is a hoax based on unsubstantiated science, while left-wingers insist that not only is it real but unless we spend everything we have and more trying to stop it, the world will end tomorrow.

To which I say, “Stop—you’re both wrong!”

Lomborg is a lot smarter than me and in the past he's pissed off people on both sides of the global warming argument so I'm inclined to listen to what he says at least.
You should go check it out and watch the trailer for his upcoming movie.

And while you're there, you may want to look at This Article-

"Canadian Research: Combining Hydrogen and C02 to Make Synfuel – An Alternative to Fossil Fuels"

"Can Hydrogen and carbon, especially CO2, be combined inexpensively to produce Low Carbon Hydrogen Fuel (LCHF) light, medium, and heavy Synfuels?"

I have no friggen' idea if you can do that. But it seems, after reading the article, that it would be worth looking into.
Hell, I'd much rather see some money spent on this type of R&D than wasting it on Teaching men in Africa how to wash their genitals. Somehow, that was one of those shovel ready projects the Economic Stimulus Plan was all excited about.

Alternate energy sources to reduce our dependence on foreign supplies should be explored. Come to think of it, that's why the Department of Energy was established, wasn't it? How many years have they had to work on this? Oh well.

I saw this over at
Ace of Spades last night -

I had no idea.

Yeah, that's my entire Anteater knowledge base right there.

There are a few more interesting articles at Washington Rebel you may wish to see also.
I added these guys to the links today since I'm now checking the out most every day.

Friday Afternoon and all is.....................
Well................. it's kinda cold actually.
Oh well. It is November after all.

The new Woodstove has been getting a work out this week and so far it's getting an A+ rating.

I can tell already that I'm gonna need to do some serious wood gathering for next year. That's ok. I like the whole Firewood gathering thing.

Sorry about not posting yesterday. Just had nothing to say or share. I'm sick of all the political crap and have had a bit of an overdose of election news, spin, etc. And that's about all there has been out there clogging up the innertubes of the web.

On to other things now................

I like This Story -

"Security Gourd: Man Fights Off Robber With Squash"

"When a crook attempted to rob a corner store in Manchester, a worker delivering food to the shop stopped the perp with the closest weapon he could find -- a squash."

Yep. You have got to be one lame ass crook to get your ass kicked by a vegetable.

"South of the border, down Mexico way..........."
U.S. Border Agents Find a Sophisticated Drug Smugglers' Tunnel the Length of Six Football Fields Linking Southern California With Mexico

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency said the tunnel ran between warehouses in Otay Mesa, California, and Tijuana, Mexico. It measured 1,800 feet and was equipped with a rail system, lighting and ventilation."
Short news video at the link there too.

There were a few of these discovered around El Paso when I was living there.
Just another one of those, "Shovel Ready Projects" I suppose.
Those dudes are pikers when you compare that tunnel to The Great Tennessee Pot Cave
Think I'm kidding?

Read the story there. It'll amaze you to find how they caught these guys. Musta been smoking to much of the product.

Not to get into the politics of The Presidents Trip to India but this is the funny here-

Hilarious is what that is.

Speaking of funny. In a Creepy Sorta Way-

"10 toys that will permanently screw up your kid"
You just have to go see this shit. There is nothing I can add to it, other than, "Somebody has a sick sense of humor".
Oh hell. Here's, The Inflatable Wolverine toy.

Here's a bit of good news from the EPA. EPA policy chief steps down
Good riddance.

And, Victims remembered 1 year after Fort Hood shooting

And don't ever forget................ It's a Religion of Peace.

Wednesday Thinking................

Glad that the election is over. I can only wish these folks well and hope they meant what the said.

OK. With that out of the way, let's see what we have here today.......

Oh, this is a good place to start. Unemployment Offices To Add Armed Guards-

"INDIANAPOLIS -- Armed security guards will be on hand at 36 unemployment offices around Indiana in what state officials said is a step to improve safety and make branch security more consistent.

No specific incidents prompted the action, Department of Workforce Development spokesman Marc Lotter told 6News' Norman Cox."

"Specific" being the key word there. Maybe they should have added - Yet.
Either way, just another thing to add this to the list of items to make note of.

This item really did make me, LOL!
Schwarzenegger bans welfare cards at psychics

"LOS ANGELES -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzeneger says welfare recipients can no longer use state-issued debit cards at medical marijuana shops, psychics and other businesses whose services have been deemed "inconsistent with the intent" of the program."

Who would have guessed that this sort of thing would be a problem in the first place?
Oh wait, there's more.............

"Other businesses affected by the ban include bail bond establishments, bingo halls, cruise ships and tattoo parlors.

In June, Schwarzenegger barred welfare cards at casino ATMs following a Times report that CalWORKS cards were being used to withdraw cash in more than half the casinos in the state."

I'd suggest that they look at just who uses these cards for places like that and maybe................just maybe they could kindly and gently boot these fucking useless, blood sucking parasites the hell out of the system.

Just a thought.

Now here's something to actually think about that relates to yesterdays election.
The One-Thousand-Dollar Revolution

"The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) has been the rally cry of the patriot since its presentation as a bill to be voted on by our representatives. From the outset it was known for the affront to our republic that it is. Today, November 2, 2010 we go to vote. For nearly two years we have been engaged in the fight to restrain the implementation of this bill. First, we took to the streets, not even as organized opposition yet, just a bunch of people who could see within the words of the bill the intent to enslave and subject the people to the dictates of tyranny......."
Go read the whole thing. I'm reading these guys at The Washington Rebel a lot lately.
Pretty interesting fellas.

More Interesting WWII Stuff..............

I had a link to some Geek Level WWII items the other day.

Here's another interesting item- Newly Uncovered Footage Shows British Legion Secretly Meeting Hitler

"Interesting new footage has been discovered showing a secret meeting between delegates of the Royal British Legion and Adolf Hitler in the time leading up to the Second World War."

It appears that this a promo for an upcoming TV show - "Wartime Secrets With Harry Harris starts next Sunday at 10pm on the Discovery History channel." (From the link in the above article - The Telegraph)
Looks interesting. I'll have to figure out if I can get that channel. I don't watch enough TV to know.

Also, here's a neat story for ya - OLD 666

And a bit more on the story here.
